Standard Two - Instructional Leadership
School executives will set high standards for the professional practice of 21st century instruction and assessment that result in a no-nonsense, accountable environment. The school executive must be knowledgeable of best instructional and school practices and must use this knowledge to cause the creation of collaborative structures within the school for the design of highly engaging schoolwork for students, the on-going peer review of this work and the sharing of this work throughout the professional community.

In January 2020, we administered the Istation benchmark and the EnCase middle of year benchmark. After reviewing the data, I created a presentation for the fourth and fifth grade teachers during our PLC meeting. We discussed the data and next steps to prepare for the End of Grade test.
In course ELP 595 - Data Use for School Leaders, the final project required me to analyze achievement data and focus on equity. As a leader, it is very important to be able to analyze data and use it to drive planning.

At the start of the 2020-2021 school year, I was tasked to create schedules for M.B. Hubbard. We started the school year off in Plan C (remote). I made sure to include adequate learning time, brain breaks, and teacher planning times. I followed all guidelines presented from Nash County Public Schools for the non-negotiables for scheduling.
March 2021, all elementary schools were required to start in Plan A with a virtual option for parents who wanted their children to remain at home. I followed all guidelines presented from Nash County Public Schools for the non-negotiables for scheduling.
